Miller Products Makes FEMA a Family Affair

For Miller Products Company, the FEMA Fall Convention has been an event that not only helped connect the Miller team with customers and ag manufacturing insiders, but also an important team-building event helping to drive the culture of the company. This year, though, the team has a unique build in the father-son combination of Miller’s General Manager, Kerry Richardson and his son, Machining Specialist, Jordan Richardson, making FEMA more of a family affair than events in the past.
“This is the perfect opportunity to show Jordan the impact Miller Products Company has on a wider manufacturing environment,” said Kerry Richardson. “FEMA offers insight to all stages of the manufacturing process and couldn’t be a better learning experience.”
Kerry Richardson, who’s been with Miller Products Company for more than fifteen years, has been to the FEMA event every year of his tenure with the company. Now, as General Manager he saw the opportunity to build a deeper connection with the Farm Equipment and Manufacturing industries, and inviting his son, Jordan, one of the newest members of the Miller team, is a great chance to build on his experience.
Jordan’s experience is deeply rooted in operations and inventory management through his 14-years working with Hy-Vee stores, one of the Midwest’s largest supermarket chains. In 2022, he brought his drive to help family-owned companies flourish to the Miller team and has been working through every department, from shipping and receiving to CNC and lathe operations, to absorb as much of the business as possible.
“I’m looking to learn as much as I can from the Miller team,” said Jordan. “The time at FEMA will be another opportunity to build on the manufacturing knowledge base I’ve spent the last year acquiring. And getting to do it with my dad is just icing on the cake!”
FEMA’s Annual Fall Convention Event takes place in Kansas City, Missouri from Monday, October 31st through Wednesday November 2nd at the Sheraton Kanas City Hotel at Crown Center. You can find Kerry and his son Jordan at booth 205.
