Miller Products Company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS for MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
- Leading process development efforts for a manufacturer that produces high-precision metal turned parts.
- Quoting. Work with customers to review project requirements, define necessary material specifications, tooling, fixturing, and operating parameters for process equipment to manufacture new products or modify existing products.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and working with maintenance and/or manufacturers’ technicians to affect repairs and keep downtime to minimum.
- Developing job floor routers and prepare material, equipment and labor requirement information for loading in ERP system.
- Research, generate, and justify capital requests for new equipment.
- Train hourly personnel in process prove-out as required.
- Specify and maintain advanced cutting tool selections for machining processes.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- Experience in metal machining manufacturing environment required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with turning and milling equipment, particularly with multi-axis, multi-turret CNC lathes.
- 5+ years’ experience in developing mfg. process plans.
- Proficient with CAD/CAM
