Miller Welcomes Jeff Link – New Plant Manager

The U.S. manufacturing sector continues to boom. With demand increasing from North American customers and a reduction in viable competition from overseas, the need to increase production and establish protocols for precision has been part of Miller Products Company’s 2023-24 strategy. That strategy included hiring the best people for the most important positions throughout the company. After a long search, interviewing candidates from across the nation, Miller found their ideal candidate for Plant Manager right in their own back yard with Jeff Link from Osceola, Iowa.

“We’d interviewed manufacturing professionals from all sectors and virtually every area of the U.S.,” said Kerry Richardson, Miller Products Company’s General Manager. “While we saw some impressive candidates, we knew, after talking to Jeff, we’d found the one to not only help our team be better manufacturers, but also someone that fit the Miller culture and could lead our manufacturing team.”

Jeff Link comes to Miller as Production Manager through a long career in precision manufacturing and production management roles across the state. Starting his more than two-decade career with Quality Manufacturing in Urbandale, Iowa, Jeff quickly accumulated skills that proved his focused work ethic and his ability to problem solve and stand out as a leader in high-volume production environments. From assembly positions, machine operations, production management at companies like DeeZee and Ryco, Jeff ultimately found himself as the Lead Production Supervisor at Paul Mueller Company in Osceola. There, he lead a team of more than 20 who manufactured specialty refrigerated tanks for a world-wide dairy industry.

“In each position I took on, I made sure I was not only improving production quality turn-times, but also trying to building team environments that were motivated to do their best in high-demand situations,” said Link.

When Jeff heard about the position at Miller, he was quick to see the opportunity for growth and leadership. Miller’s Production Manager position not only fit his diverse manufacturing and production background, but also offered a core team of experienced professionals with decades of success.

“With the first interview I felt there was a strong connection with the Miller culture and management’s vision of teamwork while providing quality products to every customer,” said Link. “I’m really looking forward to helping lead this amazing team, increasing the quality of every piece we turn out as well as implementing valuable production efficiencies.”

Jeff, his wife Theresa (Teri), and their four children live in Osceola, Iowa where the children attend Clark Community Schools. In his spare time, Jeff is a hobbyist drone pilot and captures fun video from across rural Iowa. If you’re out and catch Jeff and his family around the area, make sure you give him a big “Welcome to the Miller team” and wish them well.
